ONCE IN A LIFETIME EVENT… AND I MISSED IT.

Last night’s close conjunction of Venus and Jupiter fit closely with what many astronomers have theorized for years was the type of alignment that created the Star of Bethlehem as described in the Bible. This conjunction and how close the planet’s appeared (one third of a degree), the viewing angle at many latitudes and time of day made this a particularly special event that ranks very highly among junctions. I heard that this hasn’t happened in 2,000 years AND I FUCKING MISSED IT!!!!  ASDFJKL;$@!#($@

Venus and Jupiter will draw near one another in August and again in October, but the next such event to rival last night’s won’t happen until 2023, which I am already mentally penciling in my calendar of to-see events for when I am 36 freaking years old.

Here is a link to more info about the event, in case anyone else is an uber nerd like myself and is interested: http://www.cnn.com/2015/06/30/us/feat-jupiter-venus-conjunction/
